My approach to therapy is casual, collaborative, and practical. I want therapy to feel like a conversation—not like you’re sitting across from someone taking notes and analyzing. I smile a lot. I laugh. There is room for humor here, even when we’re talking about hard things.
You set the pace, but I won’t simply sit back and nod. I’ll ask questions, offer another perspective, and sometimes challenge you. I believe insight matters, but so does figuring out what to do with that insight. We’ll work toward changes you can actually carry into your life outside of the therapy room.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and am EMDR-trained for trauma treatment. I especially love practical skills and behavioral change—sometimes feeling different starts with doing something different. We’ll work on understanding emotions, changing patterns that aren’t working anymore, navigating relationships, and building skills you can actually use in real life.
Therapy can be meaningful, uncomfortable, funny, relieving—and sometimes all of those things in the same hour. You don’t have to show up polished. Just show up as yourself.
