FAQ
How do I get started?
Click the "Request an Appointment" button and complete the Contact Form. I’ll review your information and get back to you so we can determine whether we will be a great fit. Keep an eye on your email--I will likely reach out to you that way.
Do you offer in-person and telehealth appointments?
I offer both in-person AND telehealth appointments. I maintain availability for both, but if you are flexible between in-person and virtual sessions it may make scheduling easier. We can talk about what works best for you.
Where are you located?
My in-person office is located inside Elevate Wellness at 2105 W J St in McCook, Nebraska. Telehealth appointments are also available, in which case you can connect from the comfort of your home.
Who do you work with?
I provide individual psychotherapy for adults age 19 and older. Occasionally we may do a couples or family session, but I will always begin with a single individual.
What is the cost for therapy?
My fee for a 55-minute psychotherapy session is $120 for self-pay clients. If you are using insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your individual plan and benefits.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I am in the process of becoming credentialed with several insurance plans. Because participation and effective dates can change, please contact me to confirm whether I am currently in-network with your plan. I am not a Medicare provider.
I'm not sure about telehealth--what's it like?
Telehealth sessions are conducted by secure video and are much like an in-person therapy session—you’re just joining from your own space. You’ll need a private location, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. It may sound a little weird, but it is actually very much like being in-real-life!
What can I expect at the first session?
Before we meet, you’ll be asked to complete intake paperwork. This gives me the background information I need so we don’t have to spend our first session going through all the basics. So, thank-you-in-advance for that!
When we meet, we can get dig right in to what feels most important to you right now. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping will be different, and where you’d like to begin. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you arrive. That’s what we’re here to work on together.
How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist matters. My style is warm and casual, enthusiastic, practical, and action-oriented. Take a look through this website to get a feel for who I am and how I work. If it seems like we might be a good fit, submit an appointment request and we’ll go from there.
Ready when you are.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. You just have to be willing to begin the conversation. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d be thrilled to hear from you.
